Cheat Codes/Hints

Alternate Octoball Derby bat

Equip the standard or upgraded version of the Fire Rod, Ice Rod, Sand Rod, or Tornado Rod then start the Octoball mini-game at Lorule. Link will use the fishing rod instead of a stick

Control game icon

Highlight the game on the 3DS menu, then blow into the mic. This will spin the Master Sword pedestal on the upper screen. The speed that it will spin depends on the velocity of the air going to the mic.

Easy Octoball Derby

Hold Analog-stick Left to score a hit with almost every pitch.

Easy Rupees

  • This trick requires the Pegasus Boots. Go to the blacksmith's house then go up one screen. Go to the left immediately to the bottom left tree. Bash into the tree and 30 to 200 Rupees will appear. Then, go back to the blacksmith's house and go right to the next screen. You should be on the bottom left corner of Hyrule castle. Return to the blacksmith's house screen then go up to the screen where you collected the Rupees. Bash into the tree and claim the Rupees again. Repeat the process as many times as desired.
  • After obtaining the Master Sword, go to the castle in Hyrule. After entering, go up the stairs to the left or right then through the door right at the top of the stairs. Go south through the next door. You should now be outside, on second floor, overlooking the courtyard. There will be two red soldiers. Each time you kill them they will drop a red rupee worth 40 rupees. After collecting the rupees, reenter the door to the castle and go back outside. Repeat the process as many times as desired.

Great Spin Sword Attack

The Great Spin has a much wider radius when used (hold B to charge sword, then release to spin).
