A car that is charred black has already been damaged and cannot hurt you.

Follow the green arrows that appear on the road occasionally to reach the back of a trailer or a flying helicopter. Once there, you will be able to collect coins without worrying about taking damage. When the helicopter or truck drops you off, your car will flash for a few seconds and will be invincible during this time. Note: When on back of a trailer, you can hit cars without penalty.

Use your horn to have nearby cars move over. This is useful under the hard difficulty setting and traffic is moving in both directions. However, drivers will take some time to change lanes. Be careful, as some may choose a direction that puts you at risk for a collision.

When you approach train tracks, exclamation marks may appear above your car. This indicates a train is approaching. Get ready to jump on the red ramp in front of the track to jump over the train.

When you wreck your car, Crash mode will start. Everything will slow down. Steer left and right and take out as many nearby drivers as possible to earn a final batch of points. Consider bouncing off the roofs of cars in a chain.
