The following boosts are available.

Glacier
Same effect as the Glacier power-up, without having to match five gems first.

Ice Pick
Eliminate one gem anywhere on the level.

Snowball
Have five extra moves.

Torch
Eliminate any eight connected gems.

Save boosts as a last resort, until they are absolutely needed. Each character has different boosts. Switch characters to get the most useful boosts for the level you are playing.

Whenever starting a level, look for matches that you can make to trigger combos (four piece, five piece, or "T" and "L"-shaped), starting at the bottom. Matching at the bottom will give you a chance for more combos on top. Try to set it up to match at least four pieces on the board to get the special pieces. Do not trigger them until you can use them for their full potential. If you are running low on moves, make a three piece match or use a power-up to complete the level.

Use all of your lives before ending your game session, playing for as much time as possible. Your lives will be restored after some time has passed. You can make this happen immediately by advancing the time on your device. Then, set the time back to its correct value.

Some levels have snow and other obstacles that must be eliminated. Make matches next to the obstacles to get rid of them.

The following power-ups are available.

Glacier
Match five gems of the same color in a row. A Glacier can be combined with others of its same type to destroy all gems in the level of the same color you matched it with.

Iceberg
Match colors in a "T" or "L" shape. An Iceberg is a gem with a snowflake surrounding it. Match the Iceberg to ignite its fuse, and it will explode and eliminate any gem next to it.

Windchill
Match four gems of the same color in a row. A Windchill is an extra shiny gem that when matched with another gem, will explode and destroy that column or row.

Swipe a power-up and place it on another power-up to create a more powerful effect. For example, combining a Windchill and an Iceberg will cause it to eliminate several rows of gems at once. Use power-ups whenever they are available.
