The Craft element is perhaps the most complicated and difficult to grasp. No harm in developing new products for sale, but bear in mind that spending effort on crafts will impact on your ability to research new buildings.

Research everything that you can for new buildings, even the ones that do not appear to offer any value. Some minor and seemingly worthless structures are often gateways for bigger and better structures.

Do not build more of anything than you need. It is tempting to throw down several vacant lots, roads and fields in the early stages, but this is a surefire route to failure.
