You can switch between characters at any time, but use either Wolverine or Colossus for best results. They are powerful enough to win quickly, and can reach higher ledges as well as the smaller characters. Get experience points by defeating opponents, breaking orbs, and walking into XP stations (usually located at higher points in a level). With enough experience points you can enhance abilities or unlock new ones. Explore the levels to find comic books and alternate costumes.
