Early easy levels
With your initial party, go to a desert square that says "It is very warm" and hold down the escape key. You pick up experience for each "move" you make. Just passing moves does not get experience.
You can also give everyone swim skills and go in the river, and later in the game you can climb on rubble in Spade's Casino, holding escape down, without combat interruption.
Gain skill points at library
If your skill level is high enough that it seems to cost 255 skill points to learn, the game actually gives you a skill point if you try to learn it. Similarly, skills that cost 3 points for the first level give you 64 points for learning once you're at level 6 (192.)But be careful. A similar glitch may prevent you from learning if your points go over 128.
Unlimited experience
Using the default party, move to a desert square thatis described as "It is very warm". Hold [Esc]while moving to gain experience points with each turn. Note:You cannot pass a move and gain experience.
