Extremely easy wins
In battle mode, save enough money to get a Zero Shcider. It is 94,000 but its worth every penny, when you enter a battle press the Y button to turn on your laser blades, to activate them hold the A button and Run straight into an enemy. This does craploads of damange. I've beat the game 3 times without losing once doing this.
Get the Shield Liger DCS-J
If you have the Japanese Zoids Versus 1 save on your memory card the Shield Liger DCS-J will be available for purchase in battle.

Unlock Empire Story Characters
Beat Mission Mode on the side of the Empire.
Unlock Energy Liger
Go to Config at the title screen and play these voices to unlock the Energy Liger.

By beating Zoids Battle mode, you can unlock a certain number of characters from the three Zoids anime series (Chaotic Century, Guardian Force or New Century Zero). Note: To get the characters from a certain series, your main character must be from that series.
