The original challenging board-game of "OTHELLO", you can now play on your Nintendo system.It's a game of strategy and concentration to ultimately "outflank" your opponent. The object of the game is to flip your opponents discs to your colour, ending up with a majority of discs on the board bearing your colour.To "outflank" means to trap one or more of your opponents discs in the middle of two of yours.Three skill levels against the computer or a friend.- For one or two players using pads.

Expert Mode

B + Select (when choosing game).

Slot Machine Mode (US Release)

At the player selection screen, hold Select and press A or Start to enable slot machine for Player 1 or B to enable slot machine for Player 2. The mode name then will change to "Slot".

Wish to review that great game you just played?

If so, when you complete that great game, don't start a new one. Simply wait for the ''Othello'' screen to go away. When the ''Demo'' game starts, it is not really a demo at all, but an instant review of all the moves played in the last game. This so called ''Demo'' will play over and over in a main screen/demo cycle until you either turn off the NES or start a new game. For longer term storage, I recommend capturing the demo on a VCR.
