• In the middle of the level is a small house in the light world that has baby versions of the Bosses. On the wall is a picture of Wario.

Just after entering from luchita is a poster of a Wreck It Ralph look-alike named "Bust it Bill".

• Under the church, there is a sign for a fight. One of the fighters is wearing Majora's mask from The Legend Of Zelda Majora's Mask, and the other is named "Mega Hombre" who is obviously Mega Man.
  
• In the church in the top-left corner is a secret passage. At the top there is a secret message written in the alphabet from Fez. The message itself is actually a reference to the movie Christmas Story, as it translates to "be sure to drink your Ovaltine".
