In the Japanese version, select Quest mode. Enter the following Japanese characters in row-column format: 7-8 [Space] 6-9. Select "End" to enter the "Sound Test" menu.

At the Quest Mode password screen, enter the following Japanese characters (format is Row #, Column #): - 7,8 (Space) - 6,9 -. Now hit End and you'll enter the sound test menu.

Select Quest mode. Enter [Space] $ as a password. Select "End" to start with all items.
