Better Qualifications
To always get a better qualifying lap at any track, here are the steps below:
Road Course: Make the handling great! You have alot of turns to work on, it is a big issue there.
Superspeedways: Make the downforce on the car better in the Garage, it will help get more speed on your laps.
Short Tracks: Speed! Make your speed better, the laps are close, and you want to do better.
Speedways: Turn the Gear Ratio down a little bit, make the handling better, it will help at any Speedway.
Free Thunder Plate
You can unlock Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s Thunder Plate for free by simply having him as your favorite driver on the main menu. You can then change your driver again and the plate will still be available.
Glitch: Dead drivers
With the red on the "Fight To The Top" choice wait until it goes to demo mode with the Featherlite Modified series at Red Ball raceway. About half way through the second part of the demo press A. Your driver will not be there. Go to "Race Now" and select the Nextel Series. The drivers' suits will be halfway under their cars. To reverse this glitch turn off your Xbox.
.
Glitch: Wrong weekend
In Fight To The top mode, when you get to run a truck during the Daytona 500, although it is Daytona 500 weekend, for the truck race the logo in the grass will be for the Pepsi 400.
Hint: Bump draft
This trick works best at super speedways. once you get behind a car, bump him in the center of the rear end. Do not spin him out or swipe the rear end. If done correctly, this will move you and the car ahead of you up through the pack. It should not affect the respect you have for him. Do not do this in the turns -- just on the straight aways.
When at Daytona or Talladega in any series on the front or backstretch, you will get sucked up to the back bumper of the person in front of you. When this happens, immediately before you hit their bumper, press Share Draft. You will be directly against their bumper all the way to the turn.
Dustin Dill.
Hint: Cause huge crash
Select a car in either the Busch or Nextel series. Try to qualify in last place. Start the race, and when it says to brake and turn left onto the grass, go the wrong way. When you see the leader, hit him and all of the cars behind will go flying. At least three cars will catch on fire, depending on how fast you crashed into them. If that happens, they will be out of the race. Keep going the wrong way and hitting people. After awhile they will all be out of the race and you will be the only one remaining. You can then win the race with no problems. Note: This works best at Daytona with the full amount of laps. This is also a good way to make rivals if you are a villain.
Hint: Daytona: Catching air
Choose a series that runs at Daytona. Select that track, then to the grass at the bottom of turn three. Stay close to the rail there. Your car or truck should fly in the air after a few seconds. Note: That bump marks the exact position where Dale Earnhardt came to rest after hitting Kennyboy at the 2001 Daytona 500.
Hint: Drift corners
Get a Featherlite and go to a short track such as Dodge Raceway Stadium, Levi Strauss Signature Track, etc. Around the corners, get your car halfway on the apron and half on the track. Your car should start sliding, but not enough to spin. Note: You will lose some time, but not a lot.
